Punta Prima in Valencia is an exposed beach break that only works occasionally, relying mainly on east-southeast windswells for surfable waves. Summer is often flat, with better chances outside peak summer when windswells are more frequent. It works best with offshore winds from the west, with some shelter from west-southwest winds. The bottom is mostly sand with scattered rocks, producing both lefts and rights and remaining surfable at all tide stages. Punta Prima is a popular spot and often crowded, and surfers should be cautious of rock hazards.
