Playa de San Juan in Valencia is an exposed beach and reef break with inconsistent surf, often flat in summer. It mainly picks up southeast windswells and works best with offshore winds from the west-northwest, benefiting from some shelter against southwest winds. The bottom is a mix of sand and reef, producing both left and right-hand waves. Surf quality is generally not affected by the tide. When conditions are good, the spot can get crowded, and surfers should be cautious of sea urchins. The best month to surf Playa de San Juan is September.
