La Punta-Cabo Huertas in Andalucía is an exposed reef break offering quite reliable surf, especially during winter. The spot is limited to east-northeast windswells, as there is insufficient fetch for groundswells to develop. It works best with offshore winds from the south-southwest. The rocky reef bottom produces both left and right-hand waves that tend to work best around low tide. Crowds are usually minimal, even when the surf is good, but surfers should be cautious of rocks in the lineup. The best month to surf La Punta-Cabo Huertas is February.
