La Placa in Andalucía is an exposed reef break that only works occasionally, with the best surf usually found in winter. It primarily picks up east-northeast short period windswells and works best with offshore winds from the south-southwest. The bottom is a rocky reef, producing a right-hand wave that performs best around low tide. The spot sees relatively few surfers, even on good days, but surfers should be cautious of rocks. The best month to surf La Placa is February.
