Vilassar de Mar in Catalunia is an exposed beach break characterized by unreliable waves, with the summer months frequently remaining flat. The best conditions occur when an east-southeast local windswell—which is far more common here than distant groundswell—combines with an offshore wind direction from the northwest. The beach break primarily produces left-breaking waves, and the quality of the surf remains consistent regardless of the tide.
