Platja de Sant Pol in Catalunia is an exposed beach and reef break with inconsistent surf, with summer often being flat. The best conditions come with a southeast swell and offshore winds from the northwest, with some shelter from southwest winds. Most waves are generated by windswells, and the beach break offers both left and right-handers that are surfable at all tide stages. It very rarely gets crowded, but surfers should take care to avoid the rocks. The best month to surf Platja de Sant Pol is January.
