Cabrera in Catalunia is an exposed beach break that offers reasonably consistent surf and has the advantage of working at any time of the year. The best conditions occur when an east-southeast windswell—which is much more common here than groundswell—combines with an offshore wind direction from the northwest. There is no shelter from cross-shore breezes at this location, but the beach break provides both left and right-hand waves that are surfable at all stages of the tide. It is often crowded when the waves are up, so surfers should remain vigilant and watch out for rocks.
