Las Cucharas (Costa Teguise, Lanzarote) is a fairly exposed beach and reef break featuring beach breaks that peel to the left alongside a separate left-hand reef break, delivering inconsistent surf that tends to be flat during the summer. The spot is equally receptive to local windswells and distant groundswells, reaching peak form when a northeast swell direction aligns with offshore winds blowing from the northwest. The location benefits from some natural shelter from north winds, but can sometimes become crowded when the surf is up, requiring careful navigation to avoid the hazardous local rocks.
