Tunitas Creek in San Mateo County is a remote, semi-exposed beach break that receives west and northwest swells, offering peaky lefts and rights that are best during mid to high tide with light offshore winds from the east or southeast. It tends to be most consistent from November through March when winter swells dominate, and the spot is almost always uncrowded due to limited access and its isolated setting. Hazards include strong rip currents, cold water, and shifting sandbars.
