Topanga Point in Los Angeles County is an exposed point break with very consistent surf year-round. It performs best with offshore winds from the north and groundswells from the west, especially around mid tide. While it offers reliable conditions, it can get crowded, and hazards include rocks and pollution. The best surf occurs when a west swell combines with northerly offshore winds. The most favorable time for clean, rideable waves is during winter, particularly in January.
