The spot lights up under offshore winds from the east or east-northeast, with partial shelter from prevailing northwest winds. Both left and right peaks form along the beach, offering options for most surfers. While it can get crowded during solid swells, it’s a spacious zone. However, surfers should be cautious—pollution, stingrays, and occasional shark sightings are notable hazards. January typically sees the best combination of swell and wind for clean, powerful waves.
