Huntington St. in North Orange County is an exposed beach break over a sand bottom, offering peaky, consistent waves that are well-suited to all levels—best conditions typically arrive in summer and fall. Offshore northeast winds groom south and southwest swells, producing rippable lefts and rights across well-formed sandbars just south of the pier zone. The spot works best during low to mid tide, with tide shifts often influencing wave speed and shape. While it sees moderate crowds, it's generally less hectic than the pier itself. Surfers should watch out for rip currents, shifting banks, and occasional stingrays. The most consistent clean waves occur in summer, especially July through September.
