It performs best with a west-northwest swell and offshore winds from the southwest, receiving an equal mix of groundswells and windswells. The spot provides both left and right-handers across the beach and is best surfed around high tide on a rising tide. As a fairly popular wave, it can sometimes get crowded, and surfers should remain cautious of rocks. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the winter, particularly in December.
