Plovan in Finistere, Brittany, is an exposed beach break with quite reliable surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. It works best with a west groundswell and offshore winds from the northeast, offering both left and right-handers that remain consistent at all stages of the tide. Due to its location, the spot never gets crowded. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the spring, particularly in May.
