Larmor Plage in Brittany is a reasonably exposed beach break that only works once in a while. Summer in particular tends to be flat. Works best in offshore winds from the north. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. When it's working here, it can get crowded. The best conditions reported for surf at Larmor Plage occur when a Southwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the North. The best time of year for surfing Larmor Plage with consistent clean waves (rideable swell with light / offshore winds) is during Winter and most often the month of February.
