Lampaul Plouarzel in Finistere, Brittany, is an exposed beach and reef break with fairly consistent surf, though summer months tend to be mostly flat. It performs best with a west-northwest swell and offshore winds from the east, receiving an equal mix of groundswells and windswells. The spot is highly versatile, offering both left and right-handers at the beach as well as left and right-hand reef breaks offshore, all of which remain surfable at all stages of the tide. While it can sometimes get crowded, it provides reliable options for different preferences. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the spring, particularly in April.
