La Garde Guerin in Brittany is an exposed beach break with pretty consistent surf, although summer months tend to be mostly flat. It performs best with a west-northwest swell and offshore winds from the southeast, receiving an equal mix of windswells and groundswells. The spot provides both left and right-handers and, notably, the quality of the surf remains consistent regardless of the tide. Even when the conditions are working, it is unlikely to be crowded; however, surfers should remain cautious as rocks are a known hazard. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the winter, particularly in February.
