Kerlouan in Finistere, Brittany, is an exposed beach break that only works occasionally, with summer months in particular being frequently flat. It performs best with a north-northwest swell and offshore winds from the south-southeast, receiving an equal mix of groundswells and windswells. The spot provides both left and right-handers and is rarely crowded. However, surfers should be cautious of submerged rocks, which pose a significant hazard. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the autumn, particularly in October.
