Ketewel, a sheltered right-hand reef break in Bali, is a spot that does not work very often, with the best time for waves being the wet season, from November to April. The most favorable conditions are a south groundswell with offshore winds from the north-northwest. The break works best at high tide when the tide is rising. While sometimes crowded, surfers should be aware of urchins, rips, rocks, pollution, and sharks. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in March.
