Cantamar Settlement is an exposed beach break in Baja Norte that usually produces waves that are best in summer when swells from the southwest roll in, offering both left and right breaking waves and workable surf at most tide levels. The break tends to be cleaner and more enjoyable during periods of lighter winds, with a generally consistent feel compared to some surrounding spots, and it rarely gets crowded when it’s up. While not known for powerful, high-performance surf, Cantamar Settlement can offer fun, accessible waves for a range of surfers when conditions align, though quality heavily depends on swell size and wind conditions.
