Camalu in Baja Norte is an exposed reef and point break with consistent surf that can work year-round. It works best with a west swell and offshore winds from the northeast, typically receiving distant groundswells. The break is a right-hand reef wave, and the spot is rarely crowded. The best conditions occur during winter, particularly in January, when consistent clean waves are most common. Surfers should be cautious of rocks in the area.
