Calafia in Baja Norte is an exposed point break with fairly consistent surf, particularly in summer. It works best with a south swell and offshore winds from the north-northwest, primarily receiving groundswells. The break is best around high tide when the tide is rising, and it tends to be uncrowded, even on good days. The ideal time for clean, rideable waves is during the summer, particularly in August. Surfers should be cautious of rocks in the area.
