Playa Los Cerritos in Baja Sur is an exposed beach and point break with fairly consistent surf, making it a popular option during winter when conditions are at their best. The break is mainly driven by distant groundswells from the northwest and works best with offshore winds from the east, offering both left- and right-hand waves that perform well at all stages of the tide. When the surf is up it can get quite busy in the water, and surfers should be mindful of rocky sections. The most reliable clean, rideable waves typically occur during winter, especially in January.
