Playa de Palombina in Asturias is a sheltered beach break that offers reasonably consistent surf, with winter being the favored season for waves. This spot provides both left and right-handers from a mix of groundswells and windswells; while it is best surfed around low tide and remains rideable in light onshore winds, visitors should be mindful of strong rips despite the relatively low number of surfers. The best conditions occur when a Northwest swell combines with Southwest offshore winds, with January being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
