Playa de Cueva in Asturias is a quite exposed river break that only works once in a while, with winter being the favored season. This spot offers left and right peaks primarily driven by groundswells; while it is best around high tide and provides some shelter from Southwest winds, surfers must be cautious of dangerous rip currents. The best conditions occur with a Northwest swell and Southeast offshore winds, though October is typically the most consistent month for clean waves.
