Playa de Barayo in Asturias is a sheltered beach break with consistent surf, though summers are often flat. This spot provides left and right peaks from both windswells and groundswells; while offering good surf at all tidal stages and remaining largely uncrowded, it provides helpful shelter from West winds. The best conditions occur with a Northwest swell and Southwest offshore winds, with January being the prime month for clean waves.
