Cabo Lastres in Asturias is a reasonably exposed point break that usually has waves, although it tends to be mostly flat during the summer months. This spot provides a left-hand point break from a mix of groundswells and windswells; while it is best surfed around a rising low tide and offers some shelter from east winds, visitors should be mindful of potential crowds and rocks in the lineup. The best conditions occur when a Northwest swell combines with South offshore winds, with December being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
