Isla Canela in Andalucia is an exposed beach break with pretty consistent surf, performing best during the winter and spring. The beach offers both lefts and rights from an equal mix of local windswells and distant groundswells; however, it is sometimes crowded and dangerous rips are a hazard. The best conditions reported for surf at Isla Canela occur when a Southwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the North, and the best time of year for surfing Isla Canela with consistent clean waves (rideable swell with light / offshore winds) is the month of January.
