Getares in Andalucia is an exposed beach and reef break that only works occasionally, with summer offering the best surfing conditions. The break favors an east swell combined with offshore winds from the west. Waves come mainly from short period windswells and provide both lefts and rights. Surf here is good at all stages of the tide and the spot is rarely crowded. Surfers should be cautious of dangerous rips.
