The best conditions reported for surf at Wavetraps occur when a west–southwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the southeast, helping to groom the wave faces and improve shape. When these elements come together, the break can deliver clean, fast rides, though it remains better suited to experienced surfers due to its raw exposure and demanding conditions.
