๐Ÿ“ Local Knowledge

Fox River on the West Coast is a fairly exposed beach and river bar break offering quite consistent surf throughout the year, with left-hand waves that perform well across all tide stages. It receives a mix of groundswells and windswells, with the ideal swell direction from the westโ€“southwest and offshore winds typically coming from the east-southeast. The best conditions reported for Fox River occur when a westโ€“southwest swell combines with an offshore east-southeast wind, producing clean, rideable waves. The spot is rarely crowded, but surfers should remain cautious of dangerous rips, with the most consistent clean surf typically found during winter, especially in June.
