Whiskey Creek in Washington State is a sheltered reef break that rarely works, offering surfable waves only under specific conditions. It performs best with offshore winds from the south-southwest and can pick up both wind and groundswell, with the optimal swell direction from the west-northwest. While typically uncrowded, surfers should be aware of hazards including rocks, rips, and undertow. The best surf conditions occur when a WNW swell coincides with S-SW offshore winds, with the most reliable clean waves appearing in spring, especially in April.
