Westport-The Cove in Washington is a fairly exposed beach and jetty break with quite consistent surf, with the best conditions typically found in spring and summer. The spot receives a mix of groundswells and windswells, with the optimum swell direction from the west-southwest. Offshore winds from the south create the cleanest conditions. The beach offers both left and right-hand waves and works well at all tide stages. It is a fairly popular wave and can get crowded at times. Hazards include rips and pollution. The most consistent clean waves usually occur in winter, especially March.
