The spot picks up both groundswells and windswells, favoring swell directions from the west to northwest. Offshore winds from the east or southeast produce the cleanest waves. Rialto Beach features mainly powerful lefts and rights breaking over a sandy bottom with occasional rocky outcrops. The area is generally uncrowded but requires caution due to strong rips, rocky sections, and the beach’s remote setting.
