📍 Local Knowledge

Pillar Point in Washington is a sheltered beach and reef break that only works occasionally, offering its best surf when west-northwest swells combine with offshore winds from the southwest. The spot receives a mix of groundswells and windswells and works best around mid tide. Surf is most consistent in summer, especially in August. While generally uncrowded, surfers should exercise caution due to the presence of rocks.
