Out Front in Virginia is an exposed sandbar break that only works occasionally and lacks a consistent seasonal pattern. It performs best when an east-southeast swell meets offshore winds from the northwest, with most of the surf powered by distant groundswells. While the spot doesn't fire often, it can draw a crowd when it does. Despite its inconsistency, the best opportunities for clean, rideable waves typically occur during the summer, with November standing out as another month when favorable conditions are most likely.
