North End in Virginia is an exposed beach break with inconsistent surf and no defined seasonal pattern. It performs best when an east swell combines with offshore winds from the southwest, producing both left and right-hand waves. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells, and conditions are typically best around low tide. Despite its potential, North End remains largely uncrowded—even when there are waves—making it a peaceful option for experienced surfers. However, strong rip currents are a significant hazard and require caution. The best window for clean, rideable waves is during the summer, with July being the most favorable month.
