📍 Local Knowledge
Port Mansfield Jetty in Texas is an exposed beach/jetty break with dependable surf, best during the hurricane season. It performs well when an east-southeast swell combines with offshore winds from the northwest. Most of the surf comes from local windswells, and the break offers both left and right-hand waves. Surf is good at all stages of the tide, and the spot remains relatively uncrowded, even on good days. Surfers should beware of rips, rocks, sharks, and jellyfish. The best time for consistent, clean waves is during Winter, with December being the most reliable month.
