📍 Local Knowledge

Fish Pass Jetty in Texas is a fairly exposed beach/jetty break with reasonably consistent surf, especially during the hurricane season. It performs best when a southeast swell combines with offshore winds from the northwest. The waves are mostly local windswells rather than distant groundswells, offering both left and right-hand waves and good surf at all tide stages. When conditions are good, it can get quite busy in the water. Surfers should watch out for rips, obstacles, sharks, and jellyfish. The best time for consistent, clean waves is during Winter, with January being the most reliable month.
