Poor conditions right now. Tiny waves under 1ft with quality 9s ground swell but strong 17kt winds making it choppy Note: winds from NNW would be better. Might want to wait for better conditions.

📍 Local Knowledge

Bolivar in Texas is an exposed sandbar break with fairly consistent surf, especially during hurricane season. It works best with a southeast swell and offshore winds from the north-northwest. The waves are typically generated by local windswells rather than distant groundswells. This spot is rarely crowded, offering both opportunity and solitude for surfers. The best surf conditions occur in winter, particularly in February, when clean, rideable waves are most frequent. Hazards include urchins, rips, pollution, and sharks.
