📍 Local Knowledge

Killers in Central Morocco is a fairly exposed point break that offers its most consistent surfing opportunities during the autumn and winter months, though it can provide dependable waves at any time of the year. It performs best when a strong northwest swell combines with offshore winds from the east, with the spot offering some additional shelter from north winds. Most of the waves arrive in the form of clean Atlantic groundswells, producing a long, powerful peak along the point that can become quite punchy and hollow when a solid swell is running. The surf is notably versatile and remains rideable at all stages of the tide, though it often provides the cleanest faces on a rising mid-tide. While it is a reliable spot along this stretch of coast, it very rarely gets crowded, even when the surf is up. Surfers should exercise caution and stay alert for hazards such as strong lateral currents, dangerous rips, submerged rocks, localized crowds, and the rare presence of sharks. The best conditions reported for surf at Killer Point occur when a Northwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the East.
