π Local Knowledge
Santana is an exposed reef/point break that delivers solid, consistent surf when conditions align. It works best with offshore winds from the east and groundswells from the south to southwest. The most favorable conditions occur when a southwest swell combines with light offshore winds. The spot produces both left and right-hand waves and is generally less crowded, but it's more suitable for intermediate to advanced surfers due to reef hazards. The best time for consistent, clean surf is during the Pacific swell season, particularly from May through September.
