πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Beginners Bay is an exposed beach break in Nicaragua that delivers mellow, rideable waves ideal for learners. It performs best with offshore winds from the east and picks up groundswells, favoring a swell direction from the south-southwest. The most favorable conditions occur when a gentle south-southwest swell pairs with light offshore winds. The spot offers both left and right-hand waves and rarely sees heavy crowds. Surfers should be mindful of rips and shifting sandbars. The best time for consistent, clean surf is in the summer season, particularly from May to September.
