📍 Local Knowledge

Tuckerman's in Rhode Island is a fairly exposed reef break that rarely comes to life and lacks a consistent seasonal pattern. It works best with a southeast swell and offshore winds from the north. The break is powered mostly by groundswells and, even when it's firing, it tends to stay uncrowded. Surfers should be wary of rips, rocks, and a touch of localism. Autumn offers the best chance of scoring clean waves here, with September being the most reliable month for rideable conditions.
