📍 Local Knowledge

Playa de Levante in Andalucía is a fairly exposed beach break that offers rideable but unreliable surf, depending heavily on local wind conditions. It mainly picks up short-period east windswells, with offshore winds from the west helping to clean up the wave faces, and it works best during summer when these setups are more common. The bottom is predominantly sand with some submerged rocks, producing both left- and right-hand waves and favoring low tide for better shape. The spot is rarely crowded, even when waves are breaking, but surfers should remain aware of hidden rock hazards. The best month to surf Playa de Levante is August.
