It works best during summer, when offshore winds from the west help clean up the wave faces and improve overall quality. The bottom is mainly sand with some rocky sections, producing both lefts and rights and favoring low tide for better shape. The beach is rarely crowded, even when surfable, though surfers should stay aware of rock hazards. The best month to surf Playa de Entremares is August.
