📍 Local Knowledge

Kikita Beach in Puerto Rico is a fairly exposed reef break with quite reliable surf that can work year-round. It performs best on north swells with offshore winds from the south, drawing most of its energy from groundswells and offering good surf across all tide stages. The spot has little protection from cross-shore breezes and can become crowded when conditions are favorable. Surfers should be cautious of sea urchins, strong rips and undertow, and occasional localism. The most consistent clean waves are typically found during winter, particularly in November.
