Indicators is a reef break that offers rideable waves over a rocky bottom, working best with northerly and northwest swells that wrap in and help produce cleaner, peeling faces. The surf typically ranges from waist‑to‑head high on average swell days and can get larger when solid winter swells arrive, giving both left and right sections that appeal to intermediate and advanced surfers. Conditions are usually cleanest during lighter winds, especially in the morning, and the break works across multiple tide levels, though the most consistent shape often comes around mid to higher tide. The best month to surf Indicators for more consistent swell and cleaner waves is December.
