πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Hallows is a powerful reef break on the north coast of Puerto Rico that can produce rideable waves from a mix of trade swell and longer period swell, though surf sizes are often small to modest under typical conditions. The break has both lefts and rights over a reef and coral bottom, and it tends to be more fun and cleaner early in the morning when winds are lighter, with trade winds often picking up later in the day. While the surf isn’t huge most days, Hallows offers fast, hollow waves when conditions align and can be a noteworthy option in the region. The best month to surf Hallows for more consistent and cleaner conditions is January.
