📍 Local Knowledge

Marseille - Colombet in Côte d'Azur is an exposed reef break that works infrequently, with the winter months offering the best chance for surf. It performs best with a west swell and offshore winds from the northeast, though waves are much more likely to be generated by local windswells than distant groundswells. Despite its reef classification, there is no distinct reef break here. When the spot is working, the lineup can become quite crowded, and surfers should remain cautious of hazards such as strong rips, submerged rocks, and the proximity of the cliffs.
